Meet the Owners.

Hello. My name is Heather and I am the owner and operator, along with my husband and son (Brian & Jackson), of Myrtle's Sweet Treats.

Brian and I met in Nashville, Tennessee in 2014 and were married soon after. We then welcomed our son, Jackson, into the world in 2017. After many years in TN, we decided to fulfill my teenage dream and moved to Sarasota, Florida in 2022.

After moving here, on very stressful days, I would always joke that I want to retire and sell ice cream on the beach. While we are not even close to retiring, we are starting on our ice cream journey and can't wait to share it with all of you!

So...Who is Myrtle?

Myrtle 'the Turtle' was a nickname lovingly given to Heather growing up. Heather was a very picky eater and would take an extremely long time to finish dinner which then created the nick name, Myrtle 'the Turtle'. Well, the apple did not fall from the tree and now Jackson is called Myrtle 'the Turtle' Jr for his love of taking his sweet time eating, and well, doing anything! So, while we were thinking of a name for our ice cream adventure, it hit me, we already had the best name! Myrtle's Sweet Treats was born. Life is hectic, messy and hard, but also sweet so let's slow down and enjoy a treat.
